An interesting technique and truly one I had not heard of before. And I did not realize we had a star among us as he talked about Earl’s list. Wow.

Great idea Lonnie!
I knew this could be done, but was not sure how to do it. Thanks for pointing out this video, so I can learn this process.
Could definitely be useful. I would also be curious as to just how many would open the second email. Hmmmmm.
Thanks again lonnie

As has been already mentioned “follow up,” but let’s not forget “follow through.”
If we really do believe in what we have to share with our list, then it truly is our duty to take every step possible to awaken those on our list to the message we are delivering.
Even if it is simply to help them realize that we would rather they leave our list then have us be adding to their in-box e-mails that are not even being opened.
Follow up and Follow Through, for ourselves and all those who really are waiting to hear from us.

Good information, Lonnie, but don’t always just resend to those who didn’t open the previous e-mail. Often someone will read it and think about it as they continue on. But with the volume of e-mail the average marketer gets, there’s a good chance they won’t get back to your letter if they didn’t take action immediately. Sending them a reminder can’t hurt – the Direct Marketing Association says it takes 7-10 exposures for the average person to buy, so your first e-mail is simply a warmup.
In my experience, the second e-mail usually gets better results than the first, and sales still continue through the 3rd, 4th and sometimes 5th e-mail about the same product.
