List Building Using a Newsletter
Increasing the traffic to your website is an essential element of your affiliate internet business online. As a matter of fact if you do not have traffic, you will not have sales. If traffic does not come to your offers, no one will buy. It’s like an offline business, someone has to walk through the door.
So, one of your primary efforts should and must be to get traffic to your site.
Using a newsletter will improve your traffic in two ways – maybe more, but in this article I will talk about two.
1. Getting traffic to you offers – sales pages
2. Getting traffic to your newsletter squeeze page or optin form
If you already have a list, regardless of its size, you can send out your newsletter and some on your list will click through to your offer and some will buy what you are offering.
As your subscribers click through to your offer or sales page you will have traffic. If your offer meets your subscriber’s needs at the time they read your email or newsletter, they may be in a mood to purchase.
As stated above all of your subscribers will not click on the links in your email and you will not have the potential to make a sale.
So, you can see that it is important to have as large a list as possible. You should be trying to add subscribers every day.
That brings me to the second aspect of this article: getting traffic to your newsletter squeeze page.
The purpose of this effort is to get new subscribes to your list. The larger your list, the greater your potential for sales.
What is a newsletter? The short answer is that it is your list of people’s names and email addresses. A list of people that you have permission to email to – they have opted in, agreed to receive your emails.
There are several different kinds of newsletters and they serve many different purposes. But, you can rest assured that all good newsletters will serve at least two purposes:
1. To provide information to the subscribers
2. To make money for the list owner
Now, some people may not like or agree with number 2. Nevertheless it is true. All list owners want to make money online. That’s why internet marketers place so much emphasis on list building. If you are anything like me, you will receive several emails everyday from some internet marketer and the links in that email will lead to a squeeze page. That is a website that has an optin box on it.
The internet marketer is trying to increase the size of his/her list of subscribers by getting you to provide him/her with your name and your email address. Then, you are on his list – newsletter subscriber.
Once the internet marketer gets your contact information, you can rest assured that you will receive emails from them that will provide your with information. However, you will also soon receive emails that offer to sell you something a sales pitch.
Now, I can just here you objecting to this concept. That’s OK. You can object, but let me assure you that is the way that the “make money online” business works. And if you want to make money online that is what you will be doing yourself. It’s the main game in town. Please comment on by blog using the link below, if you run across a single internet marketer who does not use this concept.
So, don’t complain and call sp am if you have filled out an optin box. You will want people to fill out yours also so that you can make money online.
Now, let’s look at list building using a newsletter. A newsletter is an email sent out on a regular bases to people who have subscribed to receive the information.
When you sign up for that fr,ee ebook, video, 10 day course, or whatever, look for the wording that says you will receive info about internet marketing or whatever the subject. That means that you are being put onto someone’s list so that he can get traffic to his website or blog.
He wants to provide you with information but he also will be updating you on a regular basis about what is going on in his affiliate internet online business. Of course you can unsubscribe anytime that you want to. But if you want to succeed in the internet business in any niche you must have a list of subscribes that you can expose you business to – and yes that means sales letters.
Just make sure that you provide your subscribes with useful and valuable information. As your list grows you can expect to have more sales.
Regular communication will mean an increase in traffic and an increase in traffic will mean an increase in sales. And thus your online business will start to grow, your list building efforts will start to help you make money online. Start your newsletter today and start getting subscribers – that’s list building.

The key is to find the happy medium and become a teller not a seller. When you go see a movie and love it you tell people about it. Now unless you own the movie theater there is nothing in it for you.
If you are making recommendations from the same viewpoint to your list because of the same reasons and not just because of the commissions you will end up selling a lot more and making a lot more.
That is the key in using your email list. Least in my opinion.

The power of newsletters comes when the subscriber has been automatically emailed several times, creating and building a relationship that will last for a long time. The more someone hears about you, the more of a chance they will become a paying customer.

Newsletters are great and powerful when applied well. You can plan the subscription delivery in advance ot add them to the autoresponder series. Using same theme will create recognition. Newletters can become great salesletters!

Newsletters can be a great resource for building a relationship with your subscribers. As you build that relationship and provide your list with good information they will become more responsive and more accepting of your offers.
It does take time and you will need to be consistent with your newsletters (i.e. always mail them on the same days and or same times). It may take some time to find out when your list responds best to your offers, but you will find it out.
