5 Reasons To Write And Submit Articles
Everyone is doing it. This is not a reason for you to do it, but if you are in an affiliate internet business to make money online, then you should be interested in the following reasons to write and submit articles.
1. Because article submission is a method of marketing.
As internet marketers we need to take advantage of any and all methods that we can in order to make others aware of what we are marketing. This is especially true when the marketing method has proven to be effective. If you will pursue it you will also find that article marketing is a very good way to market yourself and your products.
2. It helps to establish you as an authority.
This is really an essential part of your affiliate internet business online. Establishing yourself as an authority in your area of marketing, your niche, will enhance your efforts to make money online.
When others perceive you as an expert, they will be more likely to go through your info and also more likely to purchase from your recommendations.
3. It helps to provide links to your website or blog.
In each article that you write and submit you provide links back to some part of your web presence – your squeeze page, your blog, etc.
You do this within your bio or resource box. You can also use this bio box to write a short introduction about yourself. You should always include your name and a bit about your online efforts.
You are branding yourself and your business and adding credence to you as an authority. All of this, as well as your content, will serve to establish your creditability as an internet marketer.
4. It can help to drive targeted traffic to your website.
What is targeted traffic? It is traffic that has already been exposed in a favorable way toward you and what you are doing on the internet. When someone sees your article, reads it, and then clicks on the links in your resource box, they are already interested. They have become qualified traffic, wanting to know more about what you are offering.
They may also be interested enough to subscribe to your newsletter or to purchase the product that you are offering – opening a sales funnel for your present and future potential to make money online.
5. It can help you to get links all over the internet – increasing your web conversions.
Now this can be perceived as a part of number 3 but it goes much deeper than that. If you submit lots of articles then you will have the potential for your articles to end up in many places on the web. As your articles start to propagate across the internet, then more and more people will see your links – your visibility on the web will increase.
As that happens there will be more and more opportunities for people to click through to your website. Every time there is a click through you have the opportunity to make the conversions that you want.
Visibility means more traffic and more traffic means more conversions and ultimately more conversions means that you are achieving your goals.
Each of these reasons will add to your opportunities to make money online and see success for you affiliate internet business. So the challenge is to get started today. Write and submit articles on a consistent and an increasing basis – in the long haul you will see results.

As the author of Understanding Article Marketing I’d like to add one more tip if I may – always link to your own website or blog and then direct the traffic to the affiliate product from there. Your articles will be online a lot longer than most products will, and once the product has been removed your articles’ links will be non-productive if they point to the former product page.
By linking to your blog, the link stays live, you have an opportunity to add the prospect to your opt-in list, and you can simply change your redirect to point to a newer product that fills the same needs. That way your articles can go on producing traffic, leads and sales for you for years to come!
