3 Ways To Enhance Article Marketing For Traffic

In my last post I talked about article marketing in general. In this post I want to address 3 things or ways to insure that your article marketing will truly benefit your efforts to make money online and drive traffic to your affiliate internet business online.

1. Use Keywords.

This is an area about which thousand, maybe millions, of words have been written. And because it is so important to article marketing, you will continue to see more and more words written about using keywords. Here are mine. Find keywords that match your subject and include them in your article.

What is a keyword? It is a word or phrase that the search engines notice. More specifically, it is something that someone is searching for on a regular bases and in some relatively large quantity. That means that a lot of people are interested enough in the subject that they will type that word into the search box on some search engine, like Google.

Make sure your keywords are specific and scatter them throughout your article. There is much discussion about keyword density, but I recommend that for your article marketing efforts that you look toward a density of something like 2-5% per article.

2. Write About Something Of Interest To Your Readers.

If you don’t write something that someone actually thinks is worth reading, you will not get any traffic. That means that no one will click through to your website/blog. If you have spent very much time on the web, you undoubtedly know that much that has already been published is not worth your effort.

Don’t write all over the world. Write about something specific to your website/blog topic. Remember, the purpose of your article marketing is to  get people to click through to your website. If they do, they may leave as soon as they get there if your article is off topic.

So, don’t write about dogs and send them to a site about gardening – unless your dog article is about how to keep them out of your garden. Stay on topic.

3. Avoid Article Directory Black Listing.

Since you are writing your articles to get traffic to your site you will be submitting them to article directories for publishing. One of the things that you want to make sure never happens is that article directories start banning your articles – black listing you.

This can happen if they feel that you are stuffing your articles with so many keywords that the article doesn’t read or flow well. It just sounds like a bunch of words that keeps repeating the keyword and does not provide any real content or value for the readers.

Don’t waste your time or effort. It takes the same amount of time to write good content around a few repeats of your keyword as it does to write garbage around a lot of repeats of your keyword. Repeating your keyword beyond the acceptable level of the article directories will likely get you banned, especially if doing so makes your article just a bunch of worthless words.

So, I hope that you can see that content is important to your article marketing efforts. As your articles get spread around the internet, more and more people will see them. As the people that see your articles get enthuse about what you are saying, many will likely decide that it is worth their effort to click through to your site. It is for sure that only those that consider your content worthwhile will continue to read what you have to say.

Those that like your content and click through will be what is called “targeted” traffic – they are already interested. Your chances for the desired response will be increased by their actions.

Article marketing can be a very successful tool and should be in your arsenal of methods to increase the traffic to your affiliate internet business online. Using this method of traffic generation will also help in your internet marketing efforts to make money online.

You may be involved in an affiliate internet business to make money online but you will find that the marketing rules are the same no matter how big or small your business. Let’s look at some of the tangible benefits of marketing.

The dictionary uses the following terms to define tangible:

a. that can be touched or felt
b. definite
c. objective
d. assents having real substance
f. able to be appraised for value

Let’s use that definition, the terms, to examine the tangible benefits or results of internet marketing:

a. That can be touched or felt.

Here are some ways to make your online business yours, something that you can touch and feel. Something that reflects you and what are trying to do in your online business.

1) brand your product,
2) determine your target audience and how they relate to your product or products,
3) obtain sales (that means that you get to feel the income) and build a relationship with your customers, and
4) turn customers into repeat customers.

Internet marketing is very effective in allowing you to implement all of these areas.

b. Definite.

The definition is simple. It is you placing your business or products on the world wide web, or internet as we generally refer to it today. Your online presence or website/blog is an assert and it must contain real substance; that translates to content. if you are using a blog, for example, it must provide useful and pertinent information to your readers.

Your ebook or whatever your product is must have substance that is perceived by your customer as something that he can truly use in his own efforts or maybe just something that will make him more content with life. He must feel that your product will in some way enhance his quality of life. Maybe it will help to make him more healthy, wealthy, etc.

f. Able to be appraised for value.

You must do more than just advertise your product online. Your marketing efforts must include communicating with your customers. They must perceive that your product is valuable for them;   but, they must also perceive that your follow up with them is of value. If they do not, you will not have repeat customers.

That is one of the main asserts of any affiliate internet business online. There is a lot of detail to it but it is called list building. As you build your list and your subscribers or current customers come to realize that you are giving them value some of them will buy again.

You won’t need a lot of money to make internet marketing work for you, but you will need to insure that your products and the information that you provide result in tangible benefits for your potential customers. That in turn will provide tangible benefits for you and your efforts to make money online.
