4 Steps To Affiliate Marketing Success?

4 Steps To Affiliate Marketing Success?

Rat race got you down? Are you fed up with the boss constantly breathing down your neck? Why not consider affiliate marketing as a source of income instead? Affiliate marketing can produce a decent income and with dedicated effort you could replace your job income with an income made by working online.

So, what is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing can be defined as a technique that allows you to make money online marketing the products that others have produced. Or you can produce products yourself and let others be affiliates of your products.

In either case commissions are produced by your efforts at marketing products that others have produced or by others marketing your products and you profiting from their efforts and at the same time they are making commissions themselves.

If you are considering giving affiliate marketing a try, check out these important tips:

1. Choose your niche with care.

Ok, what’s a niche? It’s a market area. It may be top level market or a sub market area of a larger market.

Choosing a niche is one of the most important factors to consider in doing affiliate marketing. Choosing a good niche can determine how successful you are in your online money making efforts. So, do some research, consider your interests, make a list of what you would like to be involved in.

Come up with a list of affiliate programs in your niche and then narrow it down and get started.

2. Create a website that gets visitors.

One of the best ways to make money online with affiliate marketing is by creating well-designed websites. Make sure that your site is easy to navigate and compels targeted visitors to convert – either to sign up under you as referrals or to purchase the products you are marketing.

A quality squeeze page is a must and it must contain a definite call to action. You want your targeted visitors to do exactly what you want them to do.

A well designed website (it can be a blog) will have excellent content that can either be text, a video tutorial, etc. If it is a squeeze page it should inform your visitors about how they will benefit from your product and what they need to do to opt-in to receive the information you are offering.

3. Freebies are powerful – Use them.

When you offer free content, like free reports, eCourses, branded books, etc., you will find that some of the recipients will become customers of your paid offers. Maybe, if you make it available, they will give your product to someone else and this could result in more referrals or purchases.

4. Targeted traffic is key.

You will not benefit from your well-designed website, no matter how good your content and freebies are, if you don’t get targeted visitors. That is visitors that are at least somewhat interested in what you are offering.
So how do you drive targeted visitors to your site? Some things to consider:

  • Off-page search engine optimization – link building
  • Blogging
  • Social networking
  • Email marketing
  • Article marketing

These are just a few of the many different techniques that you can employ to successfully attract people to your website.

If you follow and apply the information in this article you will be well on your road to becoming a successful affiliate marketer. You will find that you have enhanced your affiliate internet business online and that you will have started the process of making money online. Note that “follow and apply” means work.

The Internet Marketer and Email – Your List

The Internet Marketer and Email – Your List

An opt-in list gives you the capability to use email to market your products. If you are involved in affiliate programs, you can market your own or other people’s affiliate programs. Marketing your affiliate internet business online is how you will make money online.

Your list is your life blood, use it wisely. Also, if you are on someone’s list, respect the fact that you agreed to be on the list. If you find you do not like the emails you are receiving just unsubscribe.

When a person subscribes to your list, they confirm and agree to receive your newsletter and/or information from you. You agree to provide information about your area of expertise and what is going on in your business and what is coming out that will benefit you and your readers.

When you subscribe to a list and confirm your subscription, you agree to receive emails from the list owner. You agree to receive the emails because you wants to receive information that will help you to build your online business – to help your make money online.

This mutual consent should allow email to be sent to your subscribers and it should not be considered as spam. Unfortunately, some subscribers will still call it spam for whatever reason. But, an honest internet marketer will not. If he no longer want to receive your email he will use the unsubscribe mechanism that is provided at the bottom of the email.

Good internet marketers know that they must play by the procedures that are set up and that if they do not, it will ultimately damage the internet marketing arena for him and everyone else. Internet marketing depends on email and we must not call spam for email that we receive from the list that we subscribe to.

If you opt into a list always unsubscribe – never report that list as spam.

But you say, “All those promotional emails are annoying.” Maybe this is true, but you are an internet marketer. Your source of income is from sending promotional emails. Anyone that wants to be an internet marketer relies on email and you will also, if you want to succeed as an internet marketer – it’s just the nature of the beast. As my grandkids are learning, “You get what you get and you don’t throw a fit.”

Rather you just unsubscribe. Unless it is obviously off target and really is spam, then you call it spam and then the sender: “Gets what he gets and he doesn’t throw a fit.” At least he should know that he has not been a good internet marketer.

So, you must provide a newsletter that always provides good content. Building and maintaining a list is critical, but if you do not send out promotional offers, your list building efforts are worthless.

Are you listening, those of you that are on a list, are you getting the message? Don’t call emails that you receive from the list that you subscribed to as spam just because they are promoting something.

Are you listening, those of you that have a list? Are you being an honest internet marketer and only sending good and useful content? And, are you only sending promotional offers that are beneficial in the area of your newsletter?

You send offers to your list. I send offers to my list. Expect content, but also expect offers – promotion is the mane of the game. So, use your list wisely.

Promotion is how internet marketers (Is that you or what you want to be?) make money online. In the end, promotion, called advertising, is how all businesses make money.

It’s Friday, Will You Open This Email?

It’s Friday, Will You Open This Email?

Supposedly, many people have conducted test and have found that, by and large, people will not open email on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Monday.

Is that the case with you? Should it be?

On Monday do you find your email box full and just decide to delete it all and wait for Tuesday’s email?

There is a new program out, and it may be great. The idea behind this new program is that, you, we, internet marketers will not pay much attention to emails that we get on the above days.

So, they have developed a program that will plug into the popular autoresponders and fix them so that you can insure that your email goes out on Tuesday, or Wednesday, or Thursday.

One of the reasons that they site for deleting Monday’s email is that you get so much on Monday, because the autoresponders sent out emails on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and you haven’t opened your email because you have been watching all of the football games or whatever occupies your time over the weekend.

On Monday you open your email box and it is full of all kinds of things, content, offers, spam, etc. So, you just don’t open any of your messages on Monday even though some of it may be very useful to your efforts and your knowledge.

Now they come along and you are going to get all of your email on Tuesday. Great, that’s your day to open your email. But all of a sudden, you have tons of email on Tuesday. What do you do now? Delete it and not open it anyway?

I don’t know the answer to this problem of why or when people will open their email. But, I would hope that we as Internet Marketers are more concerned about our business than the day on which we receive an email.

Suppose you work for an auto insurance business. On Monday you go into work and about 9:00 the postmaster delivers all the mail from late Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and early Monday morning.

Well you just say, this is too much, and just throw it all into the trash. That would be nonsense; there might be a premium check in there. Any offline business would at least go through the mail and make a determination of which mail to open and which to throw into the trash.

It’s the same with your online business. If you want to  you are dependent on email. That’s the truth and you’ve heard it a thousand times – the money is in the list. We all spend time and effort at list building.

You want to build a list and everybody else in the make money online and all of the other niches want to do the same.

We are dependent on email, and of course all of the other traffic generation sources. But the list is primary.

There are many things that I look for when I scan my email and I do it independent of the day I happen to open my email:

1. I look to see who it is from. There are several people that send me emails, and I will open every one of them. May not click through, but I will open the email.

2. I look at the subject. If it catches my eye, maybe that’s read emotion, I’ll open it. There are certain emails, I will never open. For example, if it says, “Please log into you PayPal account and…” Or if it says, “Mail your offer to thousands and …”

3. I look to see if there appears to be something new going on. Really there is not much new, but there are new approaches. If there is something that indicates that it going to be helpful in the ongoing progress of my success, then I will be interested.

4. Does it just spark and interest, “Why not check it out?” Etc.

It is true that I do not open a lot of email, but it is not because of the day that I happen to open my email or the amount that I get. My business is too important to take a chance that I might miss just that opportunity that could greatly benefit my progress and my success.

So, yes if I get your email, or your regular mail, on Saturday or Monday, I will not just send it to the trash. If I have a full Friday and don’t get a chance to look at the emails that I receive until Monday, I still will look at them and determine if I want to open them.

Testing is important and we have to make use of the test results. But, I can’t help but wonder, “What will happen to our attempts to make money online when we all start to get tons of email on Tuesday?

What are Private Label Rights?

What are Private Label Rights?

First, it is important to note that all internet marketers need information for their online business. We need information for our newsletters, our websites, our blogs, our information products, our list building efforts, our ebooks, etc.

Since we are in business to make money online, we need to provide information that will be useful and beneficial to our readers and customers. In the short and the long of it, we must be authors.

As authors involved in internet marketing how do we get our information? We research. We talk to people. We read and study what others have written. We get it from our own knowledge and experiences.

One of the resources that is available for us is Private Label Rights (PLR).

Some are afraid of PLR and say they don’t use it. Yet, they will say that one way to produce a product is to outsource it. Well, PLR is just outsourcing in that the information is already available, already produced. The author of the PLR wrote it and made it available to you. So now, you don’t have to go out and find someone to write for you. You don’t have to contract the work out. You don’t have to say would you write an article or ebook for me on this subject and when we agree on what you will do and the price, I will pay you to produce the product for me.

You just pay someone who has already written something about your subject of interest and he gives you the right to use it as you like. You can just publish it again with you as the author or you can edit it to make it more like you want it.

Whither the product came from outsourcing or PLR, it has become yours to do with as you please.

It becomes a part of your research, a part of your collection of information on some subject. Now you take all of the items in your research material and mold it all together to make your own statement. Is it original? Yes, if you envelop your thoughts and do not copy it word for word.

For example, how many ways can you say, “Columbus discovered America in 1492.” Yet, new history books are written every year for our public school systems and they all tell the story about Columbus discovering America in 1492.

How do they do it? They collect all the references that they can and mold the information into their own style and interpretation of what happened.
That’s all we do with PLR. We mold it to fit the situation and message that we want to convey at the time.

The internet is the greatest source of information in the world and yet it is added to each and every day. There properly is not a subject in existence that has not been written about on the internet. And if you are willing to spend the time, you can find it. But you can bet that someone will write about it again in the future only they will put their slant and thoughts into it.

So don’t be afraid of PLR, just use it as a source and rewrite it to fit your ideas and the time and situation you are concern about.

I suspect that in the world of network marketing no subject has had more attention given to it than list building. New or different approaches come out almost daily and yet the message is the same – you must build a list.

So if you want to write about list building, do your research, find some PLR, outsource it, whatever. Then take all of the documents from your research and write your own list building article or ebook. I can almost guarantee that before the start of the New Year someone will.

If you want to try out some PLR you can Download 50 Free PLR Articles here.
